Sri Lanka completed the second-highest successful chase in one-day international history, reaching 430-8 to beat England by two wickets in Rawalpindi.

England had made 429-4 after captain Harry Brook scored 202 off 116 balls, the first double hundred by an England player in an ODI and the fastest in the format. Brook passed Ben Stokes' previous England record of 182.

Pavan Rathnayake made 130 for Sri Lanka, while Avishka Fernando and Dasun Shanaka each scored 97. Janith Liyanage hit the winning six with one ball remaining after England seamer Josh Tongue took two wickets in the final over.

The result gave Sri Lanka their first points of the tri-series and left England with a second successive defeat.
