Manchester United were held 1-1 by Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday, extending their winless run to six matches in all competitions.

Bryan Mbeumo put United ahead in the 35th minute, guiding a Youri Tielemans cross into the bottom corner. Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalised in the 51st minute after Tarik Muharemovic's header from a corner.

United remain 13th and have one win in seven league games, their fewest at this stage of a top-flight season since 1986-87, according to AFP. Michael Carrick said his players were “trying to do the right things” after a week dominated by Lisandro Martinez’s public criticism of the club’s recruitment.

Elsewhere, Brighton beat Crystal Palace 5-0 after three goals in the first 10 minutes, including Diego Gomez’s strike from the halfway line. Arsenal later beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 through Noni Madueke’s 80th-minute goal, while Bournemouth beat 10-man Sunderland 2-0.
