Qatar World Cup 10-Ball final: Filler vs Manas
Joshua Filler and Albert James Manas won their semi-finals in Doha and meet in tonight's race-to-13 final.
DOHA — Joshua Filler beat world No. 1 Wojciech Szewczyk 11-9 and Albert James Manas edged Daniel Macioł 11-10 in a hill-hill finish in Thursday's Qatar World Cup 10-Ball semi-finals, setting up tonight's race-to-13 final for the $100,000 top prize.
Filler won on Table 17 and Manas on Table 16 in simultaneous noon starts at the Ezdan Palace Hotel.
The final pairs Filler against Manas tonight at 17:30 Doha time — a race to 13 worth $100,000.
Why it matters: World No. 1 Szewczyk's exit leaves former world champion Filler as the biggest name standing, while Manas — the last Filipino in the field — is one win from the crown after knocking out Macioł on the other table.
