CHEROKEE, N.C. — The Ultimate Pool USA Grand Finals got under way on Monday at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort, opening a week of national league events that runs through Sunday 8 November.

Headline act is the 8-Ball Teams championship, which plays out all week with a published purse of $282,000 — $112,000 to the winning team, paid down to the last 32. The 10-Ball Teams event follows from Tuesday with $90,000 on the line and $35,000 for the champions.

Also on the card: the National Singles Leaderboard across classes A to D plus Semi-Pro, the League Showdown, Shootout and Women's Shootout invitationals, a 10-Ball Showdown, and Mixed Pairs and Pairs worth $5,000 apiece. A 512-player National Open paying $20,000 to the champion starts Thursday, with the 128-player National Women's Open worth $5,000 from Friday; both finish on Sunday.

Every event is streamed live on DigitalPool Live, with coverage also on the Ultimate Pool USA YouTube channel.

Why it matters: The Grand Finals bring together qualifiers from a national network of more than 180 local Ultimate Pool leagues — the biggest payday of the American league pool season, with the largest team cheque of the year going to the 8-Ball champions.
